I Am Just Floored!

Well, I thought I would include a pic of the floor situation, since I pretty well take a picture of everything else. Our floor is typically level but the plate techtonics of our home have formed a mountain range in the middle of our kitchen. Not cool. This is the second time this has happened. It is unbelievable. There were all kinds of loud pops. In the rest of the house my new friend was busy cleaning the floor. Yes, it is our very own robot. He does a very nice job. The best part is we only paid $15 for it. A friend of ours bought a stack of them at an auction. We just need a robot to load the washer and dryer and fold the clothes, clean the toilets, dust, deal with the dishwasher. I really don't mind to load the dishwasher, it is the unloading part I am not fond of. Didn't the Jetsons have it good. That is what we need, a Rosie. Today a Roomba, tomorrow a Rosie. I guess we better quit dreaming and get busy. The Roomba only does so much. We better get busy!

That's really weird about your floors! That's probably the highest mountain in your county, isn't it? So, if you replace it with wood, what's to stop it from doing the same thing to the wood?

Hmmm...me thinks it is time for you to sell and move...I'm thinking Canada would be good! ~giggle~ Sorry! I really couldn't resist that one! ~hee hee~

I don't like emptying the dishwasher either. That's what children are for! Our second child has taken that on as his responsibility and he does a good job for a five year old.

The amazing thing about the dishwasher is that when I load it the dishes are nasty and have people's coodies. But when it is time to unload they are all clean. Why do we like to deal with the nasty dished but refuse to unload the clean.

The floor....*SIGHS*...I don't know what we are to do. October is Christmas prep month. We start getting the stuff out. Now the house is a bit of a mess. Yes, that is the highest mountain range around here. It has been suggested that there could be a tile defect that prevents them from adhering to the floor. With wood we are wanting a floating floor which is bascially what we have now. The subject of acid washing our concrete floors has even been discussed. Who knows what we will do!

As for selling, I am sure we will have to fix the floor first and the agonizing decision right now will delay that progress. *Snickers*

We really are praying about any potential move. the strangest thing happened at the hospital last night. I had a pt that was on vactaion in WA when she turned ill. I asked what part of Washington. She named off some names I did not know until she mentioned Mt Baker. *light bulb flashing* I was like, "Oh, My goodness." Turns out this lady had actually lived in Sedro Woolley and told me all about it. She desires to move back there and retire. I actually was able to witness. She thought it no coincidence that we met, more of a sign to me than her. Well, when I left her in her room, I passed back by again and noticed she had her head hung low. I am quite certain she felt something in our conversation. She is a bartender by trade. It was a strange encounter. It is great when God allows paths to cross.

PRAISE THE LORD! We have a great congregation in Sedro-Wooley. We have met a few of them and hope to meet more of them soon.

My former pastor's wife is from Sedro Wooley! Sis. Amy (Parent) Bogoni. After seeing all of her pictures I'd love to visit there some day!

About Me

My photo
In 2003, my wife Tabithia and I left our city home and embarked on an unexpected journey. Both of us have fulltime jobs outside of the home. When the work day is over we return home and begin working again. We have around 100 animals here. Many of which are owner surrendered or rescued. This 4 +/- acres of land that we call Fair Haven Farms is a little piece of heaven. Not everything is always grand, but we endure the negative and celebrate the highlights of our furred and feathered friends. The farm is available for travel. We participate in many educational programs. FHF also opens the barn doors for birthday parties and other events. Feel free to visit our Fair Haven Farm facebook page. We hope to see you soon. Until then may every day be FARMTASTIC!
